Live Stock exists to make livestock trading safe, and that starts with treating your personal information the way we treat your money: carefully, transparently, and only for the purpose you gave it to us. This notice explains what we collect, why, and your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect on this website
- Feedback form: your name, a phone number or email address, whether you farm, buy or transport, and what you wrote. We use this only to reply to you and to improve Live Stock.
- This website does not use advertising trackers.
What the Live Stock platform collects
When the marketplace opens, using it will involve more information, always explained in the app before you give it:
- Identity verification: your name, ID number and a selfie are checked against official sources so every trader on the market is a real, verified person. Your selfie and ID photo are kept only until a person at our operations desk has made the once-off decision, then deleted, or deleted after 30 days if no check is ever needed: we keep the result of the check, not the images.
- Deal records: listings, photos of animals, deal documents and payment references, kept because they are the paper trail that protects both sides of a sale.
- Location: photos of animals carry the place they were taken, and exact addresses are shared between buyer and seller only once a meeting is confirmed.
- Banking details: sellers' payout accounts are collected to pay them, shown back only in masked form, and shared only with our licensed escrow partner.
What we never do
- We never sell your personal information.
- We keep your ID photo and selfie only until the once-off check is decided, then delete them; if no check is ever needed they are deleted after 30 days.
- We share information only with the service providers needed to run a deal, such as our licensed escrow partner and identity verification provider, and with authorities where the law requires it, for example if a deal becomes a criminal matter.
How long we keep it
Feedback messages are kept until the matter is closed, or until you ask us to delete them. Deal records are kept for as long as the law requires for financial and agricultural records. Analytics are aggregated and personal details are removed on a schedule.
Your rights
- Ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct it.
- Ask us to delete a feedback message at any time: email admin@livestockmarket.co.za.
- Ask for your platform account and its personal information to be deleted, subject to records the law requires us to keep.
- Complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa: inforegulator.org.za.
